Hmmm, I don't know how it happened exactly. I remember i was playing around with the settings the other night so perhaps that was it. Before, this blog displayed a very narrow column that distorted my writings. Now it has a wider one that has distorted the compensations i made for the narrow column. ARRRGGGHH!!! ............ Sometimes I hate technology. Why can't these damn machines do what we want them to do without me having to read a phonebook size instruction manual? I can be very frustrating. ....
Anyway, here's some qoutes and comments I have gleaned from my reading -----

Political language. . . is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. George Orwell (1903 - 1950)
"Give him the once over and do it twice!" Bob Hope (from a movie)
"I had a bump on my head the size of my head" Bob Hope (f.a.m.)
"Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal." --Albert Camus (1913-1960)

polirope999 (7/24/2006 12:18:45 AM): For anger to work (i.e., motivate someone to change), there must be remorse, for remorse to work, there must be conscience. Some peeple just don't have that. (w.d.)
In regards to Superstring theory: "Our universe is just god having fun with some Silly String.... " (w.d.)

"Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun."
"Orbiting this star at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea."
{We don't seem to have made much progress since the late lamented Douglas Adams penned those immortal lines.}

ARNAUD DE BORCHGRAVE

"Religion generates certainty, which breeds intolerance, which ignites conflict."
-------------------------------------------------------------
“Religions vary in their degree of idiocy, but I reject them all. I condemn the effort to take away the power of rational decision, to drain people of free will and a hell of a lot of money into the bargain.” - Gene Roddenberry
"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."
- Samuel Adams
"You can't declare yourself the boss of a chicken farm when you've only got one egg." Chinese saying
"You measure a democracy by the freedom it gives its dissidents, not the freedom it gives its assimilated conformists." -Abbie Hoffman
