If quarks come in different flavors, than why call them "up, down, top, bottom, etc" ? Why not re-name them Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Blueberry, Cherry and Peach? :-D

The human brain has 100 billion neurons. There are 6 billion people on earth. If everyone had 16.666 (~17) computers connected to the internet and turned them on at the same time, there would be 100 billion nodes in the network. Would 'SkyNet' then become self-aware? {:-D :-D The UK MOD has a computer information satellite system CALLED Skynet !!!}

I've probably written this elsewhere, the idea of a space battleship having a megawatt strength gamma ray laser, but this idea is coming closer to feasibility. How? See this link - http://www.sciencenews.org/articles/20070915/fob1.asp

Since small red stars are more prevalent in the galaxy than other types, doesn't it stand to reason that if we encounter an intelligent alien species they would probably BE from such a solar system? AND, that the majority of intelligent species would be from such systems?
